Willy Naessens overleden - Organisatie Waregem Koerse reageert bedroefd: "We verliezen een heel trouwe supporter"
Bram Vandewalle, de algemeen directeur van Waregem Koerse, gaf maandag in een reactie aan Belga aan "bedroefd" te zijn door het overlijden van ondernemer Willy Naessens. Die stierf maandag in intieme kring op 86-jarige leeftijd. "Willy was niet enkel een partner van de organisatie, maar ook een heel trouwe supporter", zo liet Vandewalle noteren.
Dwars door Vlaanderen - Lotto start met zes Belgen, zonder Arnaud De Lie
Wielerploeg Lotto komt woensdag met zes landgenoten aan de start van Dwars door Vlaanderen (WorldTour). De Belgische formatie maakte maandag zijn kern voor de West-Vlaamse semiklassieker bekend. Na de Premier League, de Serie A en La Liga heeft maandag ook de Bundesliga aangekondigd in juni een extra transferperiode te zullen openen voor het WK voor clubs. De nieuwe transferwindow in juni loopt van 1 tot 10 juni, zo maakte de Duitse profliga bekend. Nadien is er van 1 juli tot 1 september de traditionele zomermercato.
