WK atletiek indoor - Rani Rosius plaatst zich voor halve finales 60 meter

De Limburgse moest als tweede in haar serie enkel de Zwitserse Mujinga Kambundji (7.20), de indoorwereldkampioene van 2022 en regerend Europees vicekampioene, voor zich dulden. Met een chrono van 7.23 was ze vijftien honderdsten van een seconde trager dan haar Belgisch record (7.08), dat ze begin deze maand op het EK indoor in het Nederlandse Apeldoorn neerzette.

Als Rosius net als vorig jaar de finale haalt, komt ze om 14u18 nog een laatste keer de piste op in het afsluitende nummer van de dag. De Limburgse liep twee weken geleden het achttien jaar oude Belgische record van Kim Gevaert (7.10) van de tabellen en werd uiteindelijk vijfde in Apeldoorn. Een jaar geleden was Rosius op het WK indoor in het Schotse Glasgow nog goed voor een zesde plaats.

Cape Epic - Wout Alleman abandonne après une nuit à l'hôpital et des problèmes gastriques

Le champion de Belgique de marathon en moutainbike Wout Alleman a abandonné le Cape Epic, samedi à l'avant-dernier jour de la célèbre épreuve de VTT disputée en Afrique du Sud. Le Flandrien a passé la nuit de vendredi à samedi à l'hôpital en raison d'intenses problèmes gastriques, mais il a été autorisé à quitter l'hôpital dans la matinée.

Cape Epic - Ritwinnaar Wout Alleman verlaat race na nacht in ziekenhuis door maagproblemen

Belgisch marathonmountainbikekampioen Wout Alleman is op de voorlaatste dag van de Cape Epic uit de Zuid-Afrikaanse wedstrijd gestapt. De West-Vlaming belandde in de nacht van vrijdag op zaterdag door intense maagproblemen in het ziekenhuis, maar heeft dat intussen mogen verlaten.

F1 - GP de Chine - Oscar Piastri s'offre sa première pole devant George Russell

Oscar Piastri s'élancera de la pole position au départ du Grand Prix de Chine de Formule 1, dimanche à 15 heures locales (8 heures belges). Au volant de sa McLaren, l'Australien a signé le meilleur chrono de la Q3 des qualifications samedi sur le circuit international de Shanghaï en 1:30.641 et s'est ainsi offert, à 23 ans, sa première pole en carrière à son 48e Grand Prix.
