Mats Vanden Eynde opende vrijdag voor België de mixed relay op het WK in het Franse Liévin. De achttienjarige junior kwam als zevende door, waardoor de ploeg meteen op achtervolgen was aangewezen. "Ik heb vooral tegen ouderen moeten rijden, enkele beloften en twee eliterenners, en dat was geen cadeau. Ik zat meteen op mijn limiet en dan moet je door de muur.
