Jonge voetballer van Deense Midtjylland ontwaakt uit coma na steekpartij

De speler uit Guinee-Bissau is inmiddels uit coma ontwaakt en zijn toestand is stabiel, nadat hij in levensgevaar verkeerde. Het incident vond afgelopen weekend plaats in Herning, de thuisstad van de club. "FC Midtjylland werkt nauw samen met de autoriteiten en biedt ondersteuning aan Alamara Djabi en zijn familie", schreef de club in een mededeling.

Midtjylland deelde geen details over de steekpartij mee. "Uit respect voor het lopende politieonderzoek zullen we geen verdere commentaar geven", aldus de club nog.

Djabi streek in 2023 bij Midtjylland neer en werd in het seizoen 2024/25 uitgeleend aan CD Mafra in de Portugese lagere reeksen. Hij speelde tot nu toe voornamelijk voor de jeugdteams van de Deense topclub.

Rally van de Canarische Eilanden - Thierry Neuville op zoek naar eerherstel

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 N) ging onlangs in de Rally van Kroatië in de fout en liep daarbij de grootste ontgoocheling in zijn carrière op. Veel tijd om te treuren kreeg de Belg evenwel niet. Rally van de Canarische Eilanden - Katsuta start op Canarische Eilanden als WK-leider

Donderdagochtend begint de Rally van de Canarische Eilanden met de traditionele shakedown. Na de ceremoniële start wordt in Las Palmas, in het voetbalstadion van Gran Canaria dat plaats biedt aan 32.400 toeschouwers, een superspecial van 1,89 km gereden waarbij de rallywagens twee aan twee starten. Gespreid over vier dagen worden er 18 KP's gereden, goed voor 301,3 km.
