BNXT League - Oostende is Mechelen opnieuw ruim de baas en neemt 2-1-voorsprong in play-off-finale

In het eerste kwart hield Mechelen nog gelijke tred (28-29), maar bij de rust keek het tegen een 43-56-achterstand aan. In het derde (14-19) en vierde kwart (13-18) diepte Oostende de kloof nog verder uit. Timothy Allen was met 21 punten, zeven rebounds en zes assists opnieuw de MVP van de match en ook Pierre-Antoine Gilet (17 ptn, 6 rbds, 3 assists) en Caleb Daniels (11 ptn, 8 rbds) leverden een aardige bijdrage aan het Oostendse succes. Voor Mechelen deden Trenton Gibson (17) en Seppe Willems (16) het meeste terug.

Critérium du Dauphiné - Mathieu van der Poel staat ondanks polsbreukje toch aan de start

Mathieu van der Poel zal zondag dan toch aan de start staan van het Criterium du Dauphiné (2.UWT). De 30-jarige Nederlander liep twee weken geleden nog een breukje in de pols op, maar is voldoende hersteld om zijn rentree te maken. Dat bevestigde zijn Belgische team Alpecin-Deceuninck donderdag via sociale media.
