Challenger Pro League - Ex-Rode Duivel Jonathan Walasiak wordt assistent van Igor De Camargo bij Francs Borains

Walasiak maakte begin jaren 2000 het mooie weer bij Standard (136 wedstrijden, 20 goals) en schopte het toen ook vier keer tot international onder Aimé Anthuenis. De middenvelder droeg later het shirt van Metz en Moeskroen, waarna hij voor een avontuur in Hongarije koos. In 2015 zwaaide hij af bij Wiersien. Vervolgens stapte hij in het trainersvak. Zo coachte hij onder meer de beloften van Bergen.

Bij Francs Borains, de club van voorzitter Georges-Louis Bouchez, gaat Walasiak in dienst werken van Igor De Camargo, een andere voormalige Rode Duivel. Die werd vorige week aangesteld als nieuwe T1.

Mathieu van der Poel sera bien au départ du Critérium du Dauphiné dimanche. Le Néerlandais est "suffisamment remis de sa blessure au poignet", a fait savoir son équipe Alpecin-Deceuninck qui a dévoilé sa sélection jeudi.

Critérium du Dauphiné - Mathieu van der Poel staat ondanks polsbreukje toch aan de start

Mathieu van der Poel zal zondag dan toch aan de start staan van het Criterium du Dauphiné (2.UWT). De 30-jarige Nederlander liep twee weken geleden nog een breukje in de pols op, maar is voldoende hersteld om zijn rentree te maken. Dat bevestigde zijn Belgische team Alpecin-Deceuninck donderdag via sociale media.
