Challenger Pro League - Uitgeleende Messaoudi keert niet terug naar Kortrijk

De 27-jarige Algerijnse aanvaller verliet het Guldensporenstadion in januari. Bij zijn Turkse club tekende hij voor zeven goals en zes assists in 21 matchen. Daarop werd beslist de aankoopoptie in het huurcontract te lichten.

Kortrijk leende Messaoudi in de zomer 2021 van de Algerijnse eersteklasser JS Saoura en legde hem een seizoen later definitief vast. De Algerijn was in het seizoen 2022-2023 goed voor drie goals in 33 wedstrijden, maar de VeeKaa besloot hem vervolgens toch uit te lenen aan het Turkse Göztepe. Afgelopen seizoen was hij in het shirt van Kortrijk goed voor zestien wedstrijden, waarin hij geen enkele keer raak trof.

Belgian Cats - Mensenmassa viert Europese titel met Cats op Grote Markt in Brussel

De Grote Markt van Brussel kleurde maandagavond zwart, geel en rood om de Belgian Cats te vieren, daags nadat de Belgische basketvrouwen hun tweede opeenvolgende Europese titel hadden veroverd. Met enkele uren vertraging vanwege een volle agenda, verscheen het gezelschap aangevoerd door MVP Emma Meesseman op het balkon van het Stadhuis, waarna de mensenmenigte hen luid toejuichte.

Belgian Cats - Les Cats communient avec leur public et le remercient pour "son précieux soutien"

Après leur visite royale et l'accueil à l'Hôtel de Ville de Bruxelles, les Belgian Cats ont pu enfin communier avec leurs supporters rassemblés sur la Grand-Place, lundi soir. Quelque 24 heures après que le buzzer a retenti à Athènes et validé leur deuxième sacre de rang à l'EuroBasket, les joueuses de l'équipe nationale sont apparues une à une sur le balcon jusqu'à la MVP Emma Meesseman.
