Retraite de Yanina Wickmayer - Yanina Wickmayer, ancienne 12e mondiale, va ranger ses raquettes après Wimbledon

Yanina Wickmayer va mettre un terme à sa carrière de joueuse de tennis. L'Anversoise de 35 ans disputera Roland-Garros, dont le tableau final débute dimanche, et Wimbledon (30 juin - 13 juillet) avant de quitter le circuit, a annoncé vendredi matin celle qui a atteint le 12e rang mondial en avril 2010 et le dernier carré de l'US Open en 2009.

Mie Bjorndal Ottestad a fait coup double vendredi sur le Tour de Burgos féminin. La Norvégienne d'Uno-X Mobility a remporté la deuxième étape, longue de 122 kilomètres entre Villalba de Duero et Roa de Duero, et a également pris le maillot de leader du classement général.

Ronde van Burgos - Kopecky verliest tijd in rit 2, dubbelslag voor Noorse kampioene Ottestad

Noors wielerkampioene Mie Bjorndal Ottestad (Uno-X Mobility) heeft vrijdag de tweede etappe gewonnen van de Ronde van Burgos, een vierdaagse Spaanse rittenkoers voor de WorldTour, en zo meteen ook de leiderstrui veroverd. Wereldkampioene Lotte Kopecky (Team SD Worx-Protime) liep bijna twee minuten tijdsverlies op.

Jupiler Pro League - "Iedereen is klaar" voor titelmatch volgens Union-coach Sébastien Pocognoli

Union-coach Sébastien Pocognoli keek vrijdag met vertrouwen vooruit naar de titelmatch van zondag tegen AA Gent. Union kan dit weekend op de slotspeeldag van de Champions' Play-offs tegen AA Gent zijn eerste landstitel sinds 1935 pakken. Daarvoor kan Pocognoli, op de geschorste Kevin Mac Allister na, rekenen op een volledige kern. "Iedereen is er klaar voor", zei hij.

Retraite de Yanina Wickmayer - Gerald Moretti, son dernier coach: "Son énergie, sa détermination m'ont impressionné"

D'abord sparring-partner, Gerald Moretti est devenu en 2023 le coach de Yanina Wickmayer et l'est resté un peu plus d'un an jusqu'en février 2024. Il s'est confié à l'agence Belga après l'annonce de la prochaine retraite de l'ancienne N.12 mondiale de tennis.
