Tour de Norvège féminin - Mie Björndal Ottestad prive Justine Ghekiere de la victoire au classement général

Au bout des 108 kilomètres de la seconde étape, courue autour de Stavanger, la championne de Norvège a passé la ligne avec 50 secondes d'avance sur sa compatriote et coéquipière Susanne Andersen, qui a remporté le sprint du peloton. Margot Vanpachtenbeke (Volkerwessels) a fini 3e, Justine Ghekiere 5e. Cette dernière avait remporté la première étape samedi.

Au classement général, Ghekiere termine 2e à 44 secondes de la lauréate. La Britannique Lauren Dickson (Handsling Alba Development) s'est classée 3e à 49 secondes. Vanpachtenbeke est 10e à 1:30.

Rally van Sardinië - Sébastien Ogier kan met vijfde zege in Sardinië alleen recordhouder worden

Met een vierde zege in de Rally van Sardinië zou Thierry Neuville zich naast Sébastien Loeb en Sébastien Ogier hijsen. Maar die laatste Fransman staat donderdag ook nog aan de start en hoopt alleen recordhouder te worden. Ogier won de rally van 2013 tot 2015 drie keer op rij en deed er in 2021 een vierde overwinning bij.

Rally van Sardinië - Neuville gaat vanaf donderdag op jacht naar vierde zege in Sardinië

Donderdagvoormiddag gaat met de shakedown de Rally van Sardinië van start, de zesde van in totaal veertien wedstrijden voor het WRC 2025. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20) schraapte in Portugal tien punten van zijn achterstand op WK-leider Elfyn Evans (Toyota Yaris) af, maar heeft er nog veertig goed te maken. Tegelijk tuimelde Neuville van de derde naar de vijfde plaats in de WK-stand, wat hem in het stoffige Sardinië een betere startpositie oplevert.

WTA Birmingham - Greet Minnen start grasseizoen met zege

Greet Minnen (WTA-77) heeft het grasseizoen goed ingezet. In de eerste ronde van het WTA 125-toernooi in het Engelse Birmingham (168.100 dollar) nam het Belgische zesde reekshoofd dinsdag in een uur en acht minuten met 6-4 en 6-2 de maat van de Nederlandse Arianne Hartono (WTA-179).

Castors Braine a annoncé mardi l'arrivée pour la saison prochaine de l'Américaine DeYona Gaston. Cette intérieure de 24 ans, 1m88, va tenter sa première expérience en Europe avec les championnes de Belgique de basket féminin.
