Coupe d'Europe du 10.000 mètres - Jana Van Lent s'impose en Bretagne en battant son record personnel

Le record de Belgique de Marleen Renders date de 2000, en 31:03.60. Van Lent a réalisé samedi la 3e meilleure performance belge de l'histoire. Elle reste toutefois bien au-dessus des minima requis pour se qualifier aux championnats du monde d'athlétisme de Tokyo en septembre (30:20.00).

Chloé Herbiet, 4e, a également battu son record personnel (31:54.06), tout comme Hanne Verbruggen, 10e en 32:35.78.

Chez les messieurs, le meilleur Belge Simon Debognies a pris la 4e place en réalisant lui aussi la meilleure performance de sa carrière (27:48.40) et devenant le 9e Belge le plus rapide de l'histoire sur 10 kilomètres.

Dimanche dernier, Jana Van Lent avait pulvérisé le record de Belgique du 5.000 mètres en 15:02.75 au stade Roi Baudouin et avait également battu quelques heures plus tôt son record personnel du 3.000 mètres en 9:07.96.

Super Handball League - Pelt verwerft thuisvoordeel in titelstrijd met Wezet

Titelverdediger Pelt heeft de nationale play-offs om de Belgische handbaltitel op de eerste plaats afgesloten. Op de vijfde en laatste speeldag won het met 36-29 van Hubo, terwijl concurrent Wezet een 30-26-nederlaag leed bij Bocholt, dat sinds vorige speeldag uit de titelstrijd geslagen was. Bocholt won eerder wel de Super Handball League (ex-BENE-League) en de Belgische beker.

BNXT League - Limburg United en Kortrijk geven titelstrijd niet op
