Tour d'Italie - Olav Kooij "ne pouvait pas rêver un meilleur week-end" pour son équipe

Yates a pris le maillot rose samedi. Le lendemain, Kooij a apporté la touche finale au triomphe de l'équipe néerlandaise. "Hier, c'était incroyable pour toute l'équipe et aujourd'hui, je devais donner tout ce qui me restait", a expliqué le sprinteur néerlandais. "Mes équipiers m'ont aidé à rendre ça plus facile en me poussant. Nous avions un plan. Un sprint, ce n'est jamais facile à gérer, mais nous étions très concentrés. L'équipe devait contrôler et après, Wout van Aert m'a bien lancé. Nous étions très bien positionnés. Je suis heureux d'avoir tenu jusqu'à la ligne. Je suis très heureux de ce Giro. Gagner ici est très spécial. C'était une journée spéciale pour l'équipe."

WTA Birmingham - Greet Minnen start grasseizoen met zege

Greet Minnen (WTA-77) heeft het grasseizoen goed ingezet. In de eerste ronde van het WTA 125-toernooi in het Engelse Birmingham (168.100 dollar) nam het Belgische zesde reekshoofd dinsdag in een uur en acht minuten met 6-4 en 6-2 de maat van de Nederlandse Arianne Hartono (WTA-179).
